Ex-Ajax star, Jerge Hoefdraad dies after being Shot in the Head at a Party

Former Ajax footballer Jerge Hoefdraad has died after being shot in the head at a party in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. The 35-year old was trying to break up an argument at a party on Sunday, August 1, when he was shot, according to his former club. Despite being rushed to hospital and having urgent treatment, his situation remained critical and he sadly did not survive. Dutch outlet De Telegraaf report that Hoefdraad died on Monday, August 2, from the serious injuries that he sustained.
