Chelsea begin contract talks with Edouard Mendy

Chelsea are set to hold contract talks with goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The shot-stopper has become a mainstay since arriving from Rennes in 2020, upstaging the more expensive Kepa Arrizabalaga.

According to the Daily Mail, Mendy is already being offered a new deal, even though he has three years to run on his present contract.

The club want to reward his fine form, and show him that he is valued.

Mendy is happy to stay, with the 30-year-old hoping to get a pay rise, as he has one of the lowest salaries at the club.
