Davido is celebrating ten years since he burst onto the music scene like a breath of fresh air and took the industry by storm.
The Afrobeat specialist and songwriter has duly acknowledged all artistes and other people who contributed, directly and indirectly, to shape him during his formative period. In a new Twitter post, Davido thanked Hiphop artiste, Naeto C for giving him a killer verse on their collabo back in 2011.
Davido’s debut single in the music industry, ‘Back When’ which he released a decade ago featured Naeto C.
While celebrating his 10th year in the Nigerian entertainment scene, the DMW boss took to his Twitter account to show appreciation to him for agreeing to hit the studios with him.
”Thanks for the verse big bro @NaetoC , all the shows and support, will never forget! Our leader and advisor! E choke for your side die! #DavidoAt10 #echoke” Davido wrote.
In a related development, Davido took to his Instagram story to share a video from nine years ago as he speaks about his rival Wizkid.
The father of three who has gone on to become one of the most sought-after musicians on the African continent with multiple awards and several hit songs to his credit is heard speaking fondly about Wizkid.
Davido was heard in the video speaking about his rival Wizkid as he debunks assertions by some cluster of people that he has been copying his style.
He’s heard saying during the interview that even though Wizkid is huge and has his own style, he can not go with the same style, reason why he created his own path and identity. Davido also disclosed that Wizkid, Wande Coal, and Don Jazzy were part of the people in the industry who helped him.
