Defoe returns to Spurs as academy coach
Jermain Defoe has returned to the Tottenham as an academy coach and club ambassador.
The 39-year-old scored 143 goals in 363 appearances for Spurs over two spells between 2004 and 2014, making him the sixth-highest goalscorer in the club's history.
He retired in March of this year with 305 goals in 762 club matches after also playing for West Ham, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Toronto, Sunderland and Rangers
Defoe will work with Tottenham's Academy across the U17 to U21 age groups.
He will also assumes the position of club ambassador which will see him assist with the club’s work in the community, engage wit the global fanbase and support club partners.
