EPL: Don’t sign him, he has no killer instinct – Louis Saha warns Arsenal over Brazilian star
Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha has warned Arsenal against signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, saying the Brazilian lacks killer instinct and is not the world-class finisher they are looking for.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has only a year remaining on his current deal at the Etihad and has been linked with a move to the Gunners.
The Gunners are looking for a top finisher to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who was forced to join Barcelona in January.
Mikel Arteta has lamented the Gunners’ lack of goals this season and reportedly believes Jesus, his former player at Manchester City can add ruthlessness to his team’s attack.
However, Saha has told the north Londoners they should not expect the Brazilian to be the finished product.
“Sometimes he’s been criticised because he doesn’t have the ‘killer instinct’, something that Ruud van Nistelrooy had, or (Robert) Lewandowksi and all those players,” he told Gambling Deals, via Metro.
“He’s been working hard for other players, but this is the style of Manchester City. He’s maybe not as deadly as some of the world’s best, but he can improve.
“They [Arsenal] definitely need a striker if Lacazette is leaving,” he said.
