Newly appointed Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has said he does not really care about what happens at Old Trafford at this moment, insisting his energy is in Ajax.
Ten Hag will move to Old Trafford at the end of the current season to take over from interim boss, Ralf Rangnick whose six months deal ends at the term.
The Dutchman was announced as the new manager on Thursday but he insists he is paying no attention to Manchester United’s performance against Arsenal.
Manchester United’s hope of finishing fourth place and playing in the Champions League next season came to end on Saturday after they lost 3-1 to Mikel Arteta’s young Gunners.
Ajax beat NEC 1-0 on Saturday to maintain their four-point lead in the league table with four games left to play.
Speaking to the Dutch press after the game against NEC, Ten Hag was asked about United’s defeat, “I don’t have an opinion about that because I show respect for the people who are at Man United now.
“And, as I’ve said, I am responsible for Ajax. I always keep concentrated and focused on the job I have to do, it doesn’t matter what’s around me.
“My head and my energy is for Ajax.”
