Ex-Newcastle striker Bridges urges Kuol loan departure
Newcastle United impending signing Garang Kuol could be set for a January loan switch.
The 18-year-old is set to sign for the Tyneside club in January from Central Coast Mariners in Australia.
He recently made his senior debut for the club, but is already rated so highly that he is moving on to the Premier League giants
Ex-Magpies striker Michael Bridges believes the youngster should go straight out on loan to develop.
Bridges told the GegenPod Football Podcast: "I just hope he gets the right advice. I think it's a great move for him after showcasing himself in the All-Stars game against Barcelona.
"Getting over here, it doesn't mean he's made it by no means. It's just going to get harder now for him on a personal level and on a football level. He's got the media following him now, and I hope he gets the right advice.
"I hope he does it the right way. I do know he's going to go back to the A-League for a stint, and then go on loan in January to I've heard either a team in Portugal or a team in Belgium. I'm hoping it is Portugal.
"But if it's anything to go by, Dan Ashworth and the team at Newcastle United now is geared up in the right way. They will be looking after him off the field, and trying to make sure they get the right team to get the best out of him so he can get his work-permit points and get him into Newcastle."
