Paul Scholes has taken a dig at Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick after the team were dumped out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. The former England midfielder said he was yet to understand what was behind the decision to appoint Rangnick as Manchester United manager. Manchester United have now crashed out of the cup competitions this season, the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and now the Champions League. The Red Devils’ chances of finishing within the top four clubs in the Premier League this season is also very slim with Arsenal currently sitting in that position with three more to play. Renan Lodi’s first-half header decided the fate of Manchester United in the round of sixteen second leg tie at Old Trafford and was enough to seal a 2-1 aggregate for the Spanish side. And Scholes wasn’t holding back on BT Sport, saying, “He seems like a nice man. Love his interviews, comes out and is very honest. “I don’t know how this man [Rangnick] was chosen to be manager of Manchester United, for six months, not for six weeks, not for six games. I don’t know.”
