Manchester United are willing to sign defender, Pau Torres, from Villarreal at the end of the season, according to Manchester Evening News.
Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is enamored with Torres and wants to partner Captain Harry Maguire with the Spain international in the 2021/2022 season.
Solskjaer is determined to add a new centre-back in his squad whom he can rely on in fitness terms, with Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof proving fitness concerns occasionally so far this season.
Torres has emerged as one of the stars of Unai Emery’s Villarreal this season.
The 24-year-old missed out on a call-up to the Spain squad for the March internationals through injury.
He has played 32 times for Villarreal this season, scoring three goals.
Man United will have to battle Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for the player’s signature.
