Nigeria vs Ghana: NFF reacts as FIFA clears Ademola Lookman
Former Nigeria international, Ifeanyi Udeze, has said that he is not worried about Super Eagles 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off against the Black Stars of Ghana. The ex-PAOK defender said he is not worried because he knows the Super Eagles players are looking forward to the game. Udeze revealed that he spoke with some of the Super Eagles players and they told him they are focused on Nigeria’s clash with Ghana. Nigeria and Ghana will face off in a two legged 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March. The West African giants were eliminated from the just-concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon. The Super Eagles lost 1-0 to Tunisia in the AFCON round of 16, while Ghana crashed out in the group stage after losing against Comoros. “I am not worried because I know the players are looking forward to the game. I spoke with some of them and they told me they are focused on the game,“ Udeze told Brila FM. ”We should go to Ghana and get at least a draw and come home to finish the job and also let’s pray our players are injury free for the qualifiers.“
