Sam Allardyce introduced to Arsenal as possible replacement for Arteta

Former Chelsea and Aston Villa star, Tony Cascarino has introduced former Bolton Wanderers boss, Sam Allardyce to Arsenal as a possible replacement to underperforming Mikel Arteta.

According to the former Premier League player, Allardyce is in a much better position than Arteta and would make the north London side a better club.

Arsenal have started the new season very poorly, losing all of their first three matches and scoring no goal against Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Reports in England suggest that the Spanish manager has been told to win his next Norwich City or be sacked.

The Gunners spent more money in the transfer market than any other Premier League club this season.

Mikel Arteta lavished around £156million on new players in this summer and the former Manchester City assistant coach is expected to deliver results as soon as possible.

Cascarino reckons Allardyce, who is currently without a job after leaving relegated West Brom.

“If you look at what he did to West Brom – I know they went down – but he certainly made them far better defensively,” Casc told talkSPORT.

“He’d make Arsenal way better.

“I know some Arsenal fans don’t care about that, they want their teams to have flair, but I think Sam would undoubtedly do a better job than Arteta is doing at the moment.”

Arsenal occupy bottom of the Premier League table on 20th position and face another relegation club, Norwich City on Saturday.
