Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has come up with a new name for Scott McTominay following his impressive display in the Red Devils’ Premier League 5-1 victory against Leeds United on Saturday.
Solskjaer shared his nickname for McTominay while speaking at his post-match press conference after Man United defeated Leeds at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Mctominay, Solskjaer branded the Scotland midfielder as a ‘beast’, praising his physical attributes and amazing levels of fitness as three goals from Bruno Fernandes and a goal each from Mason Greenwood and Fred gave United all three points against Leeds, while Pogba produced an incredible four assists in the rousing victory.
“He’s not played more than 20 minutes this pre-season and he played centre-back in those 20 minutes,” Solskjaer told BT Sport of McTominay.
“We just kept him under wraps because we knew this was a game for him.
“At home, you have to get that man up there and Scott is one who times his arrival great, like Scholesy [Paul Scholes] did, for example.
“I’m not comparing them two because they’re two different human beings.
“Scott is a beast physically, he can run all day, he’s now a proper man out there and I thought he was excellent.”
