A man named Tega Ejomah,  who went missing after leaving his home in Ajah, has been found unconscious in Owerri. Tega was seen leaving for work by residents of Abraham Adesanya Estate on Thursday, Dec 2. When he didn't show up at work, a formal complaint was filed at the nearest police station and his loved ones released his photo, asking for help to locate him. A Twitter user has now shared an update. Tega was found unconscious by a roadside. He was doused in a "strange chemical". He has now been taken to the hospital where he's on admission.

Seven people have died from a cholera outbreak in Gombe state. The state’s Commissioner of Health, Dr Habu Dahiru made the announcement on Thursday May 27, saying others are still receiving treatment at a Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Garko Ward of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State. Strange illness spreads in Kano, six dead, 46 hospitalised

The Kano state government on Monday confirmed that six persons died of a strange disease in Minjibir Local Government Area of the state. The Commissioner for Health of the state, Dr Aminu Ibrahim-Tsanyawa, who confirmed this said 46 other affected persons had been hospitalised. Mr Ibrahim-Tsanyawa said the disease broke out in Gandun Koya village on May 7, and spread to adjourning communities. “The cause of the outbreak can be attributed to open defecation and poor sanitation in the communities. “The patients presented symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. “Six persons died of the disease, 28 were discharged and 18 others are still on admission,” he  said. The Kano state government have shut down the UMC Hospital in the state after it was discovered that the hospital management was attending to “severe cases” of COVID-19 instead of referring the patients to isolation centres provided by the state government. 2020 Admission: JAMB Sets 160 as Cut-off mark for Universities

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set 160 as the minimum cut-off mark for universities across the country in the 2020 admission session. JAMB's registrar Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement on Tuesday June 16, after the 20th policy meeting on admissions to tertiary institutions. The cut-off mark for polytechnics was pegged at 120, while that of Colleges of Education remains at 100 and above.
