Liverpool demolish Arsenal after Anfield bust-up

Liverpool kept pace with Premier League leaders Chelsea thanks to a thrilling 4-0 demolition of Arsenal in which Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta nearly came to blows. After 33 largely uneventful minutes at Anfield the game sparked into life when Liverpool boss Klopp and Arsenal counterpart Arteta were involved in a heated altercation in the dugout. It proved the catalyst for an emphatic display of Liverpool's attacking might as they harnessed the fevered Anfield atmosphere to take a half-time lead through Sadio Mane's header before running riot in a devastating second-half blitz. Diogo Jota brilliantly punished a costly defensive error within five minutes of the restart, Mohamed Salah finished a counter from close range and then substitute Takumi Minamino added a fourth with his...

Dutch GP:Max Verstappen urges Lewis Hamilton not to Respond to booing as F1 heads

Max Verstappen says it is not up to him to stop Dutch fans from booing Lewis Hamilton at Zandvoort this weekend but has urged his title rival to send a "powerful message" by not responding if they do. Since the pair collided back at Silverstone, Hamilton has been booed by sections of the crowd at the Hungarian and Belgian GPs - and there is expected to be an even more partisan atmosphere this weekend as the 'Orange Army' descends on Zandvoort for the first Dutch GP since 1985. Rhapinha stunner as Leeds peg back Everton

Leeds United claimed their first Premier League point of the season, twice coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Everton on an historic afternoon at Elland Road. Seventeen years on from their last home Premier League game with a capacity crowd, Leeds welcomed supporters back through the gates of Elland Road - and the match delivered drama to match the fevered atmosphere. Dominic Calvert-Lewin rifled Everton into the lead on 26 minutes from the penalty spot after Liam Cooper was penalised by VAR for a shirt pull, but Leeds roared back before half-time through Mateusz Klich's brilliantly-worked team goal. Demarai Gray scored his first goal back in the Premier League to restore Everton's lead early in the second half, but Raphinha's stunning strike hauled Leeds level for a second tim...

Liverpool 2-0 Crystal Palace: Sadio Mane Double Seals Champions League Qualification

There were nerves early on, as Crystal Palace threatened through Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend, and top-four rivals Leicester took the lead against Tottenham to knock the Reds down into fifth spot, but Liverpool roared to an imperious victory. Mane bundled in his first on 36 minutes as Liverpool took a deserved lead after spurning a host of gilt-edged opportunities and added a second 16 minutes from time to wrap up a vital three points for Jurgen Klopp's side. The only negative from a Liverpool perspective was that Mohamed Salah failed to get on the scoresheet at he missed out on the Golden Boot to Harry Kane, but that did little to subside the carnival atmosphere inside Anfield, which had an emotional end as fan-favourite Georginio Wijnaldum looked to bid the club fare...

How To Create An Atmosphere For Religious Co-Existence In Nigeria By Reno Omokri

Nigerian Christians and Muslims are very much the problem of Nigeria. In fact some atheists are better than them. You can reject a religion without hating those who practice it. Once we understand that, Nigeria will progress. God’s religion is love. You can’t love God and hate man! Many Nigerian Christians and Muslims do not even realise that their choice of religion is not even their choice. It is an illusion of choice. Their parents were Christians or Muslims, and that is all they have ever known. And on the basis of this faux choice, they hate practitioners of other religion. Learn from the parable of the Good Samaritan. When the Jewish traveler was attacked by robbers, first a Jewish priest, then a Levite passed, and refused to help the Jew, until a Samaritan passed by. Th...

Relief as rain Falls Over Autralian Bushfires

Rain fell across parts of bushfire-ravaged eastern Australia on Thursday and more wet weather was forecast, giving some relief following months of catastrophic blazes fuelled by climate change. The fires, unprecedented for Australia in terms of duration and intensity, have claimed 28 lives and killed an estimated billion animals. Sustained hot weather and only very rare periods of light rain in the affected areas have deepened the crisis. So authorities had been looking forward to this week’s rain hoping it would help contain or even extinguish some fires. In the state of New South Wales, where many of the worst fires have burnt, there were “good falls” on some blazes early Thursday, the local meteorology bureau reported. In the southern city of Melbourne, thunderstorms la...

But since moving to Fenerbahce earlier this year, he has scored three times in 13 Super Lig games and has helped the Turkish club climb into the top half. “It’s tough, as Chelsea’s a very special place for me and I’ve always had a great relationship with the fans but it became very obvious that I was not in the manager’s plans. “I have achieved great things there but I just needed to play football and that’s why I got the move to...
