Four people die as wall Collapses during Payment of bride Price Ceremony

Four people have been confirmed dead after a wall collapsed on guests during payment of bride price ceremony (lobola) in GaChuene Thokgwaneng, South Africa on Saturday October 4. It was gathered that people attending the ceremony were seated in a tent which was positioned next to an unroofed building, when strong wind blew. The wall collapsed, killing three instantly and injuring several others. One of the injured later died in hospital. 17 young Kano men die in fatal motor accident while returning from friend’s wedding in Kaduna (photos)

Seventeen young men from Kano State have perished in a fatal motor accident along Zaria-Kano highway. It was gathered that the accident occurred on Saturday evening, June 5, when they were returning to Kano after attending the wedding of their friend in Zaria, Kaduna state. The victims were travelling in a Kano Line bus and a RAV 4 car when the fatal accident occured. Some of them are said to be siblings. Sadiq Abdullahi, a friend to one of the deceased, Umar Abba-Sheriff, who confirmed the incident said Sheriff died on the spot along with 11 of the victims while the remaining six passed away in a hospital. Bandits Demand N110m Ransom for Tegina Islamiyya Children

The bandits who kidnapped over 100 children attending Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School have demanded N110m ransom for their release. On Sunday, May 30, armed bandits stormed the Islamic school in Tegina, in Rafi Local Government Area, Niger State, and abducted children attending Islamic lectures. 11 children who were too young and could not walk were later released. The school headmaster, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan, said on Tuesday, June 1, that the abductors have now called to ask for N110m ransom. Bandits Kidnap 20 Women Attending Naming Ceremony In Katsina

No fewer than 20 women mostly married were kidnapped by armed bandits while attending a naming ceremony at Gidan Bido village of Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State on Friday afternoon, Katsina Post learnt. According to our remote reporter in the area, the incident occurred on Friday, 23rd of April, 2021 around 1pm. In a similar case, another group of bandits attacked and also kidnapped five (5) men at Unguwar Bawa village of Dandume LGA Katsina State in the early morning hours of Saturday, 24th of April, 2021 around 2:00am. The member representing Dandume LGA in the Katsina State House of Assembly came from Unguwar Bawa village. Nursing Mum’s Body Found in Gutter after Attending early Morning Prayer in Church

The corpse of one Mrs. Idenyi Ebere Ukamaka was found in a gutter shortly after attending a morning prayer at St. Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State's capital. Elo Ogidi, the four year old girl who went missing on July 8th while attending church service with her parents in Lagos, has been found. According to her father who spoke with LIB, Elo was found in an orphange home in Benin city in Edo state.
