Soldiers Deployed To Stop Benue-Ebonyi Boundary Clash

Armed soldiers are presently engaging some unknown gunmen at Ebele village in Ngbo, Ohaukwu Local government area of Ebonyi State, Daily Trust has learnt. It is suspected to be in direction of Agila community in Benue state which shares a common boundary with Ngbo in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state. Ngbo and Agila communities have been locked in boundary dispute for decades. Many have been killed and properties destroyed in recurring clashes between both communities. Casualty figures from the ongoing engagement are not clear yet. 16 Killed, 6 Missing In Abia/Akwa Ibom Boundary Clash

16 persons have been reportedly killed while 6 others are still missing following a boundary clash between the Usaka Ukwu, Azunchai, Ekpiri Ala-Ala, Ariam Elu Elu communities in Ikwuano council area of Abia State and their Nkari and Obot Akara neighbours in Ini and Obot Akara council areas of Akwa Ibom State. Other communities in Abia State affected by the boundary clash including Oboni -Upa, Ndiorie, Obugwu and Ekwelu, lament that they now live in fear of their neighbours who always lay ambush and kill their people on their farmlands.
