Jet Rams into Fence at Lagos Airport after Brake Failure

A jet belonging to King Air Jet, crashed into a fence at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos Airport on Friday August 21, after suffering brake failure. The King Air 200 jet with registration number 5N-HIS is being operated by Mobil Oil Nigeria-Wings Aviation. An eyewitness said “The accident happened around 10:00am at a tarmac beside Bristow Helicopter Hanger 3. The brake of the jet was not functioning which led to the collision of the jet with the fence of Bristow Helicopter hanger” the eyewitness said The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) says an investigation has commenced to determine the cause of the accident. King Air Jet Rams Into Fence At Lagos Airport After Brake Failure

A brake failure has caused a jet to run into a fence at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos Airport on Friday. In the latest accident, the King Air Jet was reparking when the driver rammed into the fence, according to an eyewitness. The jet had no passenger on board with the pilot suffering no injury. “The accident happened around 10:00am at a tarmac beside Bristow Helicopter Hanger 3. “The brake of the jet was not functioning which led to the collision of the jet with the fence of Bristow Helicopter hanger,” the eyewitness said. It was gathered that officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority visited the scene of the incident to ascertain the cause of the accident. Graphic Video Of People Killed And Injured After Dangote Truck Crushed BRT Bus In Lagos

Two employees of Primero and a female passenger were killed on Tuesday morning after a Dangote truck rammed into a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) at Majidun in Ikorodu, according to a report by TheNation. Over 55 other passengers were said to have sustained varying injuries while the BRT driver was allegedly unconscious and his leg decapitated. It was gathered that the cement-laden truck had a brake failure and suddenly skidded into the BRT lane crushing an oncoming mass transit bus with registration number LSR228XS. Fuel Tanker Crashes In Cross River State As Residents Rush With Their Gallons (Photos)

Despite knowing the danger involved, residents were seen rushing with their gallons and buckets to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker in Biase local government area of Cross River state. Moments after the tanker crashed and landed into a ditch, the residents were notified as they rushed to the scene to scoop fuel. Trailer Crashes Along Calabar-Itu Highway This Morning

Many people including a driver and his conductor, narrowly escaped death on Friday when a trailer conveying gravel, crashed on Calabar - Itu Highway, near Itam Market in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.The incident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. The trailer with Lagos commercial number plate; SMK- 852- XL, was driving towards Itam Market, when the driver suddenly lost control, tumbling down and spilling its contents on the road.The driver and his conductor who succeeded in jumping out of the moving vehicle before the crash sustained major injuries.The accident was caused by brake failure.
