Temitope Oriola, an associate professor of criminology at the University of Alberta, has been appointed as a special advisor on police act review to the government of the Canadian province of Alberta, authorities said in a statement. Canadian boxer Adonis Stevenson is now in an induced coma in hospital after losing the World Boxing Council light heavyweight title to Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk. The 41-year-old was knocked out in the 11th round in Quebec City on Saturday night. Stevenson was put on a stretcher and was taken to the hospital with concussion-like symptoms.
