Abductors of a retired permanent secretary who is the District Head of Erubu in Kwara State, Dr Zubair Erubu are reportedly demanding N60 million as ransom. LIB reported that Erubu was returning to his Ago-Oja residence in Asa Local Government Area of the state when he was abducted. Asma’u Dalhatu, younger sister of Katsina Deputy Speaker, Hon. Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, has escaped from bandits’ den after being held for 105 days in captivity. The Deputy Speaker said Asmaú who was abducted alongside her sister on September 4 when bandits attacked Tafoki village in Faskari local government area of Katsina state, escaped during a military onslaught on the enclave where she was kept. Bandits demand N99m ransom for 61 Emmanuel Baptist worshippers in Kaduna

The abductors of 66 worshippers at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have asked for N99 million as ransom to release the 61 persons still in captivity. Amotekun rescues herdsmen abducted by suspected herders in Ondo [PHOTOS]

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps rescued two herdsmen who were abducted by suspected Fulani herders in the state. The two herdsmen, who were kidnapped in Supare Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state by some herders numbering about seven, were rescued after spending some days in captivity. Disclosing how the two herders who are blood brothers were rescued, the Commander of Amotekun Corps in the state, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, on Thursday evening, said a member of the syndicate, Sidi Amodu, was apprehended when his men stormed the den to the kidnappers who were Fulani origin. Adedamola, kidnapped 25-year-old son of former national secretary of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Adewunmi Alayaki has regained freedom. LIB reported earlier that those who kidnapped Adedamola on Wednesday afternoon at his father's farm, had demanded for a N20m ransom. He was released around 10pm on Thursday August 19 after spending 24 hours in captivity. It is however not clear if any ransom was paid. Abducted Mission School student regain freedom

The student of Kings School otherwise known as Capro Secondary Mission School located at Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on April 29, has regained freedom. Father of One of the Students Kidnapped from Kaduna School Dies from Heart attack

Ibrahim Shamaki, father of one of the students kidnapped from Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Afaka, Kaduna state is reportedly dead. Channels Television reported that Ibrahim who is the father of Fatima Shamaki, one of the girls with hijab seen in the video that was released by bandits, died of heart attack after he fell ill shortly after he was told of his daughter’s abduction . Family sources said he died on Friday evening, March 26, when relatives were about to take him to a hospital for further medical treatment. This comes as Fatima Shamaki and the other abducted students prepare to spend their 15th night in the captivity of the bandits.

Libyan Army on Sunday, March 21, raided human smuggling dens in Nessma town, south of Bani Walid, arrested 16 smugglers and freed 85 African migrants held in captivity.
