Late Footballer Emiliano Sala And Pilot Exposed To ‘Harmful Levels’ Of Carbon Monoxide

Footballer Emiliano Sala and his pilot David Ibbotson were exposed to 'harmful levels' of carbon monoxide when their plane crashed earlier this year. The Air Accident Investigation Branch said the pair were exposed when the aircraft crashed in the English Channel on 21 January. The AAIB's report states that toxicity analysis of Mr Sala's blood showed a carboxyhaemoglobin (COHb) saturation level of 58 per cent. According to the reports: "COHb is the combination product of carbon monoxide (CO) with haemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein molecule contained in red blood cells. Inventor Peter Madsen Confesses To Dismembering Journalist’s Body

Peter Madsen, an inventor, has admitted to dismembering the body of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, before throwing the body parts out to sea. According to Guardian, Madsen, in his initial statement to the police, had said he dropped Wall off on land after he gave her an interview the previous day. Madsen, who intentionally sank his submarine, later changed his story, claiming a 70kg hatch fell on her head and killed her instantly, and, in a panic, threw her body out to sea whole. However, Wall’s dismembered head, which was found in a plastic bag in Koge Bay on October 7, had no sign of skull injury. Her headless torso was found floating in the waters on August 21, and her head and legs and clothes on October 7. In his most recent statement, Madsen, who is suspected of Wall’s m...

14 Die In Sub-Freezing Europe Weather

Heavy snowfall and below-freezing temperatures have continued to sweep the European continent, causing more than a dozen deaths, grounding aeroplanes and crippling ferries in Italy and Turkey. At least 10 people have died in the cold that has gripped Poland in recent days, including seven men aged 41 and 66 who died Friday, authorities said. A 51-year-old died of asphyxiation with carbon monoxide from a malfunctioning heater. Temperatures in Poland dropped below -20C on Saturday, and weather forecasts said they would sink more overnight. A man also died on Saturday in Belgium when his truck slid off a highway. In Italy, sub-freezing temperatures were blamed for the deaths of a half-dozen homeless people. Heavy snow and high winds caused re-routed flights, delayed ferri...
