A former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Babatunde Mohammed, on Saturday emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state. Bauchi: We paid N72m ransom to bandits in one year – Burra communities allege

Burra community in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State has alleged that over N72 million was paid as ransom to bandits to secure release of many of their kidnapped kinsmen. Olympics: Ten Nigerian Athletes Banned from Tokyo

Ten Nigerian athletes have been ruled ineligible to participate at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics in Japan by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), reducing the country’s hope of clinching more medals at the event. Udala FC boss, Philip Udala, assassinated by unknown gunmen in Anambra

The Chairman of Udala FC, Philip Udala, has been assassinated.   Udala was murdered by unknown gunmen who attacked his convoy in Eke-Agu community in Idemili North Local government area of Anambra state on Tuesday night, July 13.
