Declan Rice added further gloss to the scoreline in the closing stages (86). It caps a memorable season for Moyes and his impressive side, whose haul of 65 points sets a new club record for most points in a Premier League season. They have qualified for the Europa League group stage, courtesy of Leicester winning FA Cup, while Southampton end a rather mediocre season in 15th.

Some People Inside Arsenal Tried to Hurt the team – Arteta

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has claimed that “some people inside” the club have tried to “hurt” the team. The Gunners go into the final day of the 2020/2021 season in ninth place and could yet qualify for the inaugural Europa Conference League if they beat Brighton. It would provide a positive end to a poor campaign, during which Arteta claimed he was searching for a mole leaking information from the dressing room. When asked what the best thing about this season had been, Arteta told a press conference: “The best thing has been to keep a team, a staff, employees and everybody together. “In those circumstances when you are not winning and when there are so many people, some inside and some outside that are trying to hurt.” Pushed on whether the “people insid...

Insiders were trying to ‘hurt’ Arsenal but we stuck together, says Arteta

The Gunners boss believes there were people inside the club who were looking to do damage Mikel Arteta says the big positive he will take from Arsenal’s season is the way they stuck together while people inside and outside of the club were trying to hurt them. Arsenal go into Sunday’s final game of the season against Brighton sitting ninth in the Premier League, but only Manchester City and Manchester United have amassed more points than them since Christmas. It has been an impressive turnaround since the dark days of November and early December when they went on a run of seven defeats from 10 league games and found themselves just four points off the relegation zone after being beaten 2-1 at Everton on December 19.

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, has said the club may want to cash in on him this summer and sell him for £100million. Kane has already informed Spurs about his desire to leave. It is believed Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are willing to offer him £300,000 a week to join them. I’m not going to be worth that for the next 2 ...

Sloppy Spurs Beaten as Villa Ruin Fans’ Return

Tottenham were booed off by their returning fans as Aston Villa fought back from a goal down to win 2-1 and dent Spurs' European hopes. Spurs did briefly give their 10,000 fans something to cheer about after eight minutes as Steven Bergwijn fired home powerfully from just inside the box, but Sergio Reguilon's shocking own goal from a sliced clearance brought Villa level (20). Spurs were woeful for much of the first half as Ollie Watkins capitalised on another Reguilon error for his 14th league goal of the season (39) as the hosts were booed off at half-time following several missed Villa chances. Emi Martinez kept Villa ahead with several saves as Spurs upped the ante in the second half, and though Villa were put under pressure in spurts by the hosts, they had fine c...

The 24-year-old forward was initially ruled out of his club side's remaining fixtures in 2020-21 with a foot injury, casting doubt over his involvement this summer for his country. That setback is, however, not as serious as first feared and a man with 13 goals to his name for the Reds may yet figure in a season finale against Crystal Palace on Sunday - with Liverpool still in the hunt for a top-four finish and Champions League qualification.

LaLiga: Zidane Denies Telling Real Madrid players he is Leaving

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has denied telling his players that he would leave the club. According to the Frenchman, he “would never, ever say that to my players”. It is believed that Zidane has announced his exit to the squad behind closed doors. Despite beating Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, Real are in danger of finishing 2020/2021 without a trophy, as they remain two points behind Atletico Madrid on the table with one match to go. But Zidane insists they are fully focused on trying to win the title. “How could I tell the players I’m leaving now? We’re giving our everything for the title and I just say ‘by the way, I’m off’? “People outside the club can say whatever they like, but I would never, ever say that to my players,” Zidane told reporters....
