Foluke Daramola has reacted after she and her colleagues were called out for singing Tinubu's praise in a viral video. The video shows some Nollywood stars, sitting around a conference table, and chanting, "Asiwaju Bola Tinubu". This earned them criticisms from Nigerians. Some people accused them of collecting money to endorse Tinubu. Reacting Foluke said she and her colleagues' presence at the gathering had nothing to do with politics. She said though she's a card carrying member of the APC, they were not there to endorse any candidate, instead they were there for a peace and unity campaign. Foluke also added that she wasn't paid a dime to endorse anyone. Watch her speak in the video below.

Court of Appeal stops Rivers and Lagos from collecting VAT

A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has stopped the governments of Rivers and Lagos from collecting Value Added Taxes (VAT), pending the determination of an appeal filed by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). The appellate court which said the order was to preserve the ‘Res’ (subject matter) of the appeal before it, gave the order on Friday September 10. This came after Attorney-General of Lagos state, Moyosore Onigbanjo informed the court of an application for the Lagos state government to be joined as a co-respondent in the appeal filed by FIRS. Two Kidnappers Killed by vigilantes while collecting ransom in Taraba 

Two suspected kidnappers have been shot dead while collecting ransom in Sabongida town in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State. It was gathered that the suspects had abducted an elderly man identified as Alhaji Gambo and demanded ransom from his family. The suspected kidnappers simply identified as Sani and Musa had reportedly instructed the family of their victim to bring the ransom money to a location. Vigilantes in the area were informed and they went to the location to lay an ambush for the criminals. Activist Oluyemi Fasipe has narrated how a Pastor allegedly sought for withdrawal of a lawsuit against man who sexually assaulted his 8-year-old daughter after secretly collecting N200k from the accused. Fasipe said the Pastor who told him that God asked him to withdraw the case, was exposed by security operatives who told him (Fasipe) that he has collected part payment of the N200k settlement.   The activist added that the magistrate struck out application for withdrawal of the lawsuit, insisting that the case must be heard.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Sunday blocked the leadership of the National Road Transport Workers (NUTRW) in the state from resuming collection of dues and revenues on behalf of the government at motor parks and garages in the state.
