Suspected Vandal Nabbed for allegedly Stealing Street Light cable in Akwa Ibom

A suspected vandal has been apprehended for allegedly stealing street light cable in Mbioto Ekpene Ituene community in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state. It was gathered that the suspect identified as Attah was nabbed on Friday, Augusr 20, by the youths of the community along Mbioto-Ndon Eyo road with electric cable that powers the street lights along the road. The suspect, who hails from Abak Ishiet in Onna local government area, claims to a commercial tricycle operator. 3 Siblings die, two Hospitalized after family consumed yam flour in Kwara

Three siblings have died and two others were hospitalized after they ate Amala in a community in the Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State. According to reports, five siblings of the same parents complained of abdominal pains and started vomiting after they consumed locally prepared yam flour meal (Amala). They were reportedly rushed to the children’s hospital in Centre Igboro but three of them were pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two survived and are responding to treatment. Gunmen kill three policemen and two others in Anambra

Three policemen and two others have been killed by unknown gunmen in Eke-Agu community in Abatete, Idemili North Local government area of Anambra state. According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community in two highlander SUVs and one Sienna car on Tuesday night July 13, shooting sporadically while also setting three vehicles ablaze. The assailants abducted one unidentified young man from Uke after several shots fired at him 'failed to penetrate.' He was dumped in the trunk of the vehicle and whisked away to an unknown destination. The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
