Member of Gombe State COVID-19 Taskforce Dies From Coronavirus

A member of the Gombe state task force on COVID19, Shuaibu Danlami, has died from Coronavirus complications . Late Danlami, who was also the director for Special Services and Politics at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, died on Sunday May 31 after a brief illness. Samples taken from him for testing returned positive for Coronavirus from the NCDC lab in Abuja late Tuesday, June 2. Chairman of the state task force on COVID-19, Idris Mohammed, who made this known to newsmen today June 3, said both the SSG’s office complex and the Government House clinic will be closed for decontamination. Ondo Records two Coronavirus Deaths

Ondo state has recorded two new deaths linked to Coronavirus complications. The state's Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu confirmed this in a tweet shared on Monday June 1.   Akeredolu said the two late Coronavirus patients are among the three new cases reported in the state. They died at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) in Ondo town, Ondo State.   This brings the total number of Coronavirus deaths recorded in the South-West state to 4. The tweet reads; Today, we recorded three new cases and an unprecedented number of deaths from #COVID19Nigeria in Ondo State. Bayelsa Confirms first Coronavirus Death

The Bayelsa state Government has confirmed the death of a Coronavirus patient from complications linked to the disease. The Director of Public Health in the state’s ministry of health and member of the state COVID-19 task force committee, Dr Jones Stowe who confirmed the death of the patient said the deceased is one of the two military personnel who were among the new cases announced in the state few days ago.
