Former Military Administrator of Oyo and Ondo, Ahmed Usman is dead

Ahmed Usman, the former military administrator of Oyo and Ondo states is dead. Usman died in the early hours of Wednesday April 14 in Jos, Plateau State capital. The deceased who retired from the army as a colonel, hails from Okura in Kogi state but was the military administrator of Ondo from 1994 to 1996 and Oyo from 1996 to 1998. Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello who confirmed his death, said the late military administrator was concerned about the growth and development of the state. Five Adamawa Men Burnt to Death in Ghastly Motor Accident on their Way to a Friend’s Engagement Ceremony in Kaduna

Five men from Adamawa State have been killed in a ghastly car accident on their way to Kaduna State. Details of the targic accident are still sketchy, however, it was gathered that the men were burnt beyond recognition in the crash which occurred on Saturday, April 11. An aide to the Adamawa State Governor, Miracle Musa, said that the five men were on their way to Kaduna to attend a friend's engagement ceremony. Armed bandits Kill Catholic Lector,Six Others in Kaduna

Armed bandits have killed seven persons including a Catholic lector in Igabi and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna State. The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incidents in a statement on Sunday February 28, said bandits attacked Kajinjiri village in Igabi and killed two residents identified as Ibrahim Rabi'u and Abdulrahman Mohammad. A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps in Osun State, Adebayo Mukaila was reportedly killed by a two-man armed robbery gang. It was gathered that the deceased owned a container made-shop at Omo-west street close to the NYSC Secretariat in the state capital, where he sells credit recharge cards, cable subscription and also engaged in money transfer. Findings showed that Mukaila popularly called Alfa on the street was attacked after closing his shop around 11 pm on Tuesday by the hoodlums.
