People Talk: On FG school feeding programme during lockdown

To be candid, the whole idea behind the School Feeding Programme is commendable, and the fact that it targets the children makes it lovely one. “However, I really do not think that’s what Federal Government should be prioritizing at present.” -Oladotun Roy, Consultant “The school feeding programme has been a scam scheme from day one. General Buhari was more democratic than President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari was Military Head of State from 1984-85. His claimed principles including a zero-tolerance for corruption and fierce patriotism in that era partly propelled his return as a two-term elected – not necessarily democratically elected – President. He encapsulates Karl Marx’s assertion  that: “History repeats itself; first as a tragedy, then, as  farce.” He was known as a tough and determined general who as the    General Officer Commanding the Third Division in Jos, without permission, led troops to clear Chadian troops who had occupied some Nigerian islands in the Lake Chad area. Tragically, as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, he has in the past five years Nigeria, presided over a country under continuous Islamist terrorist attack...

The team, which had many newbies, perhaps players of far less quality than the former TSG Hoffenheim attacker, got to the Round of 16 stage where they lost to France. Obasi currently plies his trade with AIK in Sweden, but revealed he has been through a whole lot, part of which is his experience of the corruption that has eaten deep into the fabric of Nigerian football. “I was playing for Schalke, I was playing in the Champions League and I was doing we...

Death Sentence Won’t Stop Corruption, It’s In Blood Of Nigerians – Robert Clarke

Robert Clarke, a senior advocate of Nigeria, says death sentence will not stop corruption because the act of stealing runs in the blood of Nigerians.
