The Imo state police command has arrested a 20-year-old student of the Imo state University, Onyeme Victor Chimaobi, pictured above, for engaging in cultism. A statement released by SP Orlando Ikeokwu, operatives of the Divisional Police Hqrs, Shell Camp, Owerri, intercepted the suspect during a routine patrol. Ikeokwu said locally made Pistols and two live ammunition were recovered from the suspect. The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned sixty (60) suspected cultists arrested at various points and communities in the state to the Chief Magistrate Court, Yaba on Wednesday before Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo under the new Lagos State Anti Cultism Law, 2021. The police prosecutors filed thirteen (13) count charge against the sixty suspects for various offences including Conspiracy, Murder, Cultism, Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Breach of Public Peace under the new Lagos State Anti Cultism Law, 2021 and Criminal Laws of the Lagos State, 2015. Five suspected cultists have been arrested with human skulls in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State. Cross River state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),  Danjuma Elisha said the suspects were apprehended following a raid on a compound in Ogoja area. He said;  “This is a case of suspected cultism, ritualists in Ogoja Local Government Area. 150 suspects have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in connection to the robberies, burglaries and cult violence in some parts of the state. The Edo Police Command on Saturday said that it arrested no fewer than 5,070 suspects for various crimes in 2019. Head of Vigilante in Rumuchiolu Beaten up by men Allegedly from a Local Vigilante Group known as OSPAC

The head of vigilante in Rumuchiolu, Eneka, in Rivers state, was beaten up by unknown men and left bleeding badly. According to a Facebook user who shared the story, the men attacked the vigilante head, named Mr Thank God, at about 3:30pm.
