The Central Bank of Nigeria has instructed banks to publish the names and Bank Verification Numbers BVN of its customers who default on its Forex policy. In a circulate to banks dated Monday, August 30th, the apex bank lamented that it has “received and noted with concern reports of sharp practices by some unscrupulous customers to circumvent the new CBN policy on the sale of forex for overseas personal and business travel”. Woman reportedly faces up to 20 years in prison after she was filmed licking ice cream and placing it back in store freezer

A viral video of a woman licking ice cream out of a bowl after which she placed it back in the store freezer, angered web users and action is now being taken against her.   In the video, which many found offensive, the woman can be seen dipping her tongue into a bowl of ice cream in a Texas Walmart while the friend filming encouraged her in the background, saying, "lick it, lick it" . The Management of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) on Friday apologised to its customers over poor power supply being experienced recently. Mr Godwin Idemudia, the General Manager, Corporate Communications Department of EKEDC in a statement in Lagos said it was due to shortage of electricity supply from National Grid (NG).
