Africa’s richest man, Alike Dangote, has told a U.S. court how his former American girlfriend, who exposed a part of his body via a social media post, is trying to extort $5 million from him. PREMIUM TIMES exclusively obtained the documents of a civil suit he filed with a pseudonym against the lady identified as Autumn Spikes at a Miami-Dade County Court in Florida, United States of America. The wealthy businessman used the pseudonym, John Doe, with AD, that stands for the ‘acronym’ for his name, Aliko Dangote, as his alias. He seeks “excess of $30,000” in damages against Ms Spikes. Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested three brothers identified as Emmanuel Ushie 23; Henry Ushie, 30 and a graduate of Statistics from Anambra State University and Matthew Ushie, 28, and an OND graduate from Federal Polytechnic Oko, for running a fake Frank Mba Foundation bank account with FCMB.   A statement released by the spokesperson of the Force, Frank Mba, said the trio used a fake Facebook account and then fraudulently operated bank accounts to defraud innocent Nigerians of their hard-earned monies under the pretext that the Foundation is raising money to help vulnerable Nigerians during the Covid-19 pandemic. DSS Confirms Receipt Of Court Order To Release Sowore

For the second time in about one month on Thursday, the Department of State Services failed to obey a court order directing the release of pro-democracy activist and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore. The agency, which was on Thursday morning served with the latest ruling of a Federal High Court, Abuja, by the court’s bailiff and lawyers to Sowore, acknowledged receipt of the document but refused to obey the directive. As at the time of filing this report, there was no indication that the agency was ready to honour the court order and release Sowore and Olawale Bakare widely known as Mandate, who had been detained in their custody since August 3 and 5, 2019 respectively. DSS To Arraign Sowore In Court On Tuesday

The federal government will on Tuesday, Sept. 24, formally arraign Omoyele Sowore, convener of the RevolutionNow movement. According to SaharaReporters, Sowore will be arraigned at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. Igbere TV had reported that the Department of State Services on Friday slammed seven-count charge on the former presidential candidate. The charges borders on alleged conspiracy to commit treason, cyberstalking President Buhari, and also insulting him in a television interview. Sowore was arrested in Lagos on August 3, 2019 for planning a series of protests against “bad governance” in Nigeria. Despite several calls for his release, the DSS secured an initial 45 days court order to hold him in their custody.

DSS Charges Sowore, Mandate For Treasonable Felony, Cyberstalking Buhari

The Department of State Services has charged pro-democracy activist, Omoyele Sowore, to court for treasonable felony, cyberstalking President Muhammadu Buhari among other offences.
