Dagrin Music Mate “Lala” Dies Months After Completing MSc Program

Singer Alayande Lola Oladapo Quam popularly known as Lala is dead. This was made known from a Facebook post as shared by his brother few hours ago. Lala came into limelight when he dropped his hit single, ‘Idi Nla’ which featured the late rap star, Dagrin. Lala graduated from Lagos State University department of Project Management seven years ago and returned to the citadel years later to study for his Master’s degree. He finished his Msc program last year and was one of the graduating students in December, 2020. Cause of his death wasn't made known by his brother. Dagrin: Late Rapper’s Mum Receives August Visitors On 10th Year Anniversary

After a decade since Dagrin’s death a lot of celebrities took to social media to celebrerate him. Many of his fans paid the “lyrical were” a tribute using social media as a medium. However, a Media Personality and Publisher of MetroNewsNg, Otunba Femi Davies has paid a visit to the late rapper’s mom in Agbado crossing area in Lagos State. Otunba didn’t go alone; he visited the rapper’s mom with the memembers of MetroNewsNg and the representatives of his foundation which is called the Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku Foundation. Vector, MI, Sossick And DJ Neptune Remember Dagrin On His 10th Death Anniversary

Today marks 10-years since the death of Nigerian rapper, Olaitan Oladapo Olaonipekun, aka Dagrin. The lyrical rapper died on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, LUTH after a fatal crash. He was buried on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Ebony Millennium Private Vault, Atan Cemetery. Dagrin was born on October 21, 1987 in Ogun State. He started his music career in 1994 and died in 2010 at the age of 22. Rappers, M.I and Vector, as well as DJ Neptune and Dagrin’s producer, Sossick have taken to social media to remember him. Dagrin: I Am Honoured To Have Witnessed, Featured In His Talent – Ruggedman

Popular Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has joined the rest of celebrity to drop tributes to late indigenous rap maestro, Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun also known as Dagrin, ten years after he passed on. Ruggedman, in his tribute, said he is honoured to be one of those who witnessed and featured in the late singer’s talent. He made this known via a tweet he sent out in his official Twitter handle on Wednesday. He wrote: “Dear Dagrin, I am honoured to be one of those who witnessed and featured your great talent. May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace.”

“I Have Gone To Meet Dagrin” – Electrician Leaves Suicide Note In Lagos

An electrician who went missing after leaving a suicide note behind has thrown his entire family into a state of mourning. Hakeem Sanusi, a resident of Surulere Lagos reportedly had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend who told him to stop calling her. Since then, he hasn’t been himself. His mother said he left home last week Wednesday around 8:30pm after dropping a suicide that reads: “Don’t bother to look for me, I am tired of this life and I have gone to meet Dagrin. I am sorry.” According to friends of the 28-year-old electrician, his bizarre attitude started the day his girlfriend told him to stop calling her. The Lagos state police commissioner has ordered his men to be on the look out for the missing man.
