AFC Leopards’ Shikanda: FKF should donate deducted points to Kariobangi Sharks

The Ingwe boss scoffs at the decision by FKF to suspend him and further says they don't want points that have been taken away AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has laughed at the decision taken by Football Kenya Federation to deduct them three points for skipping the Mashemeji derby against Gor Mahia on Saturday. The two Kenyan giants decided to skip the game at Thika Stadium as they demanded the federation gives them their money from grants and also prize money for playing in the final of the FKF Shield Cup. But on Sunday, FKF confirmed they had deducted three points each from the two biggest clubs in the country as punishment and further fined AFC Leopards Ksh 6 million for being the home team and Gor Mahia Ksh 4 million for being the away team.

Kano High Court Sentences Man to Two Years Imprisonment for Trafficking 30 women to Libya

A Federal High Court sitting in Kano has sentenced a 28-year-old man, Abubakar Suleiman, to two years imprisonment without an option of fine for trafficking 30 women to Libya. In her ruling on Thursday, March 25, the presiding judge, Justice Sa’adatu Ibrahim-Mark, also ordered the convict to pay an additional N250,000, adding that he will serve additional three months in the correctional centre should he fail to pay the said amount. FIFA Confirms Paying $700,000 Owed To Super Falcons For World Cup Participation In 2019

World football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed it has paid Nigerian Football Federation the outstanding $700,000 owed to the Super Falcons for participation in the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Nigeria’s women’s team, the Super Falcons participated in the Women’s World cup in June 2019 and as at February 2020 had not received payment of $1m for participation. The NFF were due to receive $1m for reaching the Round of 16 in France, but $240,000 was deducted for the Super Falcon’s extended stay in France and rescheduled flight after their sit-in protest. The Congress of Health Workers’ Unions and Associations, Kaduna State chapter, has given the State government an ultimatum to refund their 25 percent salary that was cut.
