South African born comedian, Trevor Noah has filed a lawsuit against a New York City hospital and doctor over an alleged botched surgery he underwent in 2020. The 37-year-old The Daily Show host who sued Dr. Riley J. Williams III and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, disclosed in court documents that he was a patient between Aug. 25, 2020, and Dec. 17, 2020, and underwent surgery with the hospital and doctor on Nov. 23, 2020. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arraigned two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), over alleged extortion of motorists and gratification. In a 2-count charge brought before Honourable Justice H. Aprioku of the Rivers State High Court 11 sitting in Port Harcourt, ICPC told the court how the duo, John Asegu and Otom Asueni, forcefully collected various sums of money totaling N3,500 from motorists as a “fee“ to allow the motorists pass their checkpoint along Port Harcourt-Ahoada expressway, even without being charged for any traffic offence. 10 suspected Nigerian pirates have been charged with hijacking a Chinese fishing vessel, FV Hai Lu Feng II in international waters off Cote D’Ivoire. Rivers State Government Withdraws Charges Against Caverton Helicopter and its Pilots

The Rivers state government has withdrawn its charges against Caverton helicopters and two of its pilots who were arrested weeks ago for violating the Executive Order issued by Governor Nyesom Wike on movement in the state. The Supreme Court has nullified the judgment which convicted former Abia state governor and serving senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, and Ude Udeogo, the former Director of Finance and Accounts during Kalu's administration.
