Asians Hawking Vegetables is a Clear Economic Sabotage that should be Detected, Stopped and Sanctioned – Aregbesola

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola has decried the different ways expatriates come into the country to "steal" jobs meant for Nigerians. Declaring open a stakeholders’ meeting on expatriate quota administration in Abuja on Wednesday April 14, the Minister raised an alarm of expatriates taking over jobs in the country. Aregbesola averred that expatriates coming into the country to work as bricklayers, painters, high-end consorts and even hawking vegetables are clear economic sabotage acts that should be detected, stopped and sanctioned. He said; “I have a good cause to say that this meeting has been long overdue in the sense that its outcomes will tie up a lot of loose ends in the obsolete handbook last reviewed in 2004, which has been in use as a guide to granting approval...

How Osinbajo Detected P&ID Fraud Against Nigeria – UK Judge Explains

A United Kingdom judge says the timely observation and intervention of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was instrumental in how the Process and Industrial Development Limited (P&ID) deal with Nigeria became known and identified as a fraudulent endeavour. Sir Ross Cranston of the UK High Court of Justice Queen’s Bench Division Commercial Court explained that the vice president was a regular fixture all through the review process. Cranston noted that Osinbajo's “fraud on the nation” statement in June of 2018 worked in Nigeria's favour. A brief overview of a deal gone wrong On January 11, 2010, British firm P&ID inked a gas supply and processing deal with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources on behalf of the Nigerian government. Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has announced a coronavirus aid package for poor people and hard-hit firms, as cases continue to rise in the war-torn West African state. The president warned on Friday that the country’s already war-battered economy was facing a shock, and declared a package worth some 500 billion CFA francs ($832 million). “The government of Mali… is willing to make the greatest sacrifice to lessen the negative impact of the pandemic on our economy and society,” Keita said in a televised address. Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world and has been struggling since 2012 to quell a jihadist insurgency that has killed thousands of soldiers and civilians. Coronavirus: Why Infected Italian Was Not Detected At Lagos Airport – Minister

The Italian infected with coronavirus arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday but the disease was not detected at the Lagos international airport, his port of entry, because it was still at the incubation stage, Nigeria’s health minister, Osagie Ehanire, has said. PREMIUM TIMES reported how the Lagos and federal governments, early Friday, confirmed the coronavirus case, the first in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Mr Ehanire explained that the Italian was able to get into the country without being detected at the airport because he was asymptomatic (disease was still at the incubation stage) at the time of entry. “So, it is not that it is a failure of screening. The screening went very well. The information I have this very morning is that he is stable, so all people will not be equally sev...

China locked down nearly 20 million in two cities at the centre of a deadly virus outbreak on Thursday, banning planes and trains from leaving in an unprecedented move aimed at containing the disease which has already spread to other countries. The respiratory virus has claimed 17 lives since emerging from a seafood and animal market in Wuhan, infected hundreds of other people nationwide and been detected as far away as the United States. Streets and shopping centres in Wuhan, a major port city in central Hubei province with a population of 11 million people, were eerily quiet after authorities told residents not to leave town “without a special reason”. Trains and planes out of Wuhan were indefinitely suspended, tollways on roads out the city were closed, leading to fea...

For the first time in 19 years, scientists detect a new strain of HIV virus

For the first time in 19 years, a team of scientists have detected a new strain of HIV. The strain is a part of the Group M version of HIV-1, the same family of virus subtypes to blame for the global HIV pandemic, according to Abbott Laboratories, which conducted the research along with the University of Missouri, Kansas City. The findings were published Wednesday, November 7th in the Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes. HIV has several different subtypes or strains, and like other viruses, it has the ability to change and mutate over time. This is the first new Group M HIV strain identified since guidelines for classifying subtypes were established in 2000. It is important to know what strains of the virus are circulating to ensure that tests used to detect the diseas...

EA Sports deny there’s been scripting in FIFA 19 or previous versions of the game

The publishers released a statement claiming that the 'Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment' patent has never been used in the series despite fans' claims For years, FIFA players have claimed that the games have contained hidden features of 'scripting' and 'momentum' which change the outcome of matches. That is the idea that your players begin to play differently i.e. fail with more passes or tackles to help your opponent and make matches more dramatic. It can sometimes feel like every game features a last-minute winner or your opponent suddenly plays perfectly to get back into the game. The FIFA community exploded when 'Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment' was unearthed which stated that the technology would predict how much longer a player would want to play the game and, once it detecte...
