Boko Haram Fighters are Still Occupying Geidam – LG Chairman

Hon. Ali Kolo, Chairman of Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State has disclosed that Boko Haram insurgents are still occupying Geidam community. Kolo told newsmen that 72 hours after the town was invaded by Boko Haram, thousands of his people were still trapped and had been infiltrated by the sect members. The LG Chairman who disclosed over 2,000 people who were displaced in the invasion are currently taking refuge in neighbouring Yunusari Local Government Area, also revealed that the insurgents killed two people yesterday morning, including a teacher with Kawuri Primary School, Mallam Baba Tazira. Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Kill Traditional Ruler, One Other in Benue

Mrs Laadi Binjo, mother of Benjamin Anakula Gunmen suspected to be Fulani militias have killed a traditional ruler, Chief Hyacinth Ajon and another man identified as Benjamin Anakula in Benue State. Boko Haram Kills 2 Policemen and 1 CJTF Member as Service Chiefs Visit Maiduguri

A military base and a police check-point in Borno State were reportedly attacked by Boko Haram insurgents on Sunday January 31, same day the newly appointed service chiefs arrived Maiduguri on an operational visit.
