Thugs Attack NLC Protesters in Kaduna

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, and other leaders of the congress have been attacked by thugs who disrupted the peaceful protest they led to the state government house on Tuesday morning May 18. Wabba led the protest hours after the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, declared him wanted for leading a protest in the state on Monday, May 17. NDLEA Arrests Two Men with 3kg Cocaine at Lagos and Abuja Airports

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested two men at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and the  Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, with over three kilograms of cocaine. The NDLEA in a statement released, said Adeleke Kazeem Biola was arrested at the Lagos Airport with 1.5 kilograms of cocaine on Wednesday, during the outward clearance of passengers on Emirate airline to Dubai while a Lagos-based businessman, Onu Oluchukwu Friday, was nabbed with 1.527 kilograms of the illicit drug at the Abuja airport. Police Arrest Kano Deputy Governor for Disrupting Proceedings at INEC Collation Center

The police in Kano state have arrested the state deputy governor, Nasir Gawuna and the commissioner in charge of Local government and chieftaincy affairs, Sule Garo, for disrupting proceedings at the Kano State collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
