FG proposes to spend N396bn on COVID19 vaccination – Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed

The Federal Government says it is proposing to spend the sum of N396 billion for the COVID19 vaccination exercise across the country between the years of 2021 and 2022. The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed disclosed this after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, March 31. A pair of formerly conjoined twins were discharged from HCMC Children's Hospital in Vietnam on Wednesday morning, 7 October, 85 days after their separation.   16 months old Hoang Truc Nhi and Hoang Dieu Nhi were decked in matching pink alongside their parents during the farewell ceremony held in the hospital.     Truc Nhi and Dieu Nhi’s recovery was "near perfect," said Truong Quang Dinh, hospital director. The accountant of the Church of Brethren in Nigeria, Ibrahim Aku has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for fraud. Aku defrauded the church of N15.5 million (money gotten from offerings, donations and tithes) between 2016 and 2018. The convict who pleaded guilty to charges of forgery and obtaining money by false pretense, was sentenced to 18 years in prison without an option of fine. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba Chapter, on Saturday called on warring factions in the violence that broke out in Jalingo following the announcement of the governorship election results in the state to sheathe their swords. Emiliano Sala: Gary Lineker Donates £1,000 to Pilot’s Family

Gary Lineker has donated £1,000 to the family of pilot David Ibbotson, who has yet to be located following the plane crash that killed Emiliano Sala. Fifty-nine-year-old Ibbotson was flying the plane that carried the 28-year-old Cardiff striker from Nantes when the Piper Malibu crashed into the sea on 21 January. So far, the body of Sala has been found, but Ibbotson is still missing, presumed dead. After only four days authorities called off the search for the missing footballer and pilot, however a private search was undertaken after £260,000 was raised.
