2 LAUTECH Students Died in fatal accident

Two Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH students, on Tuesday lost their lives in a fatal accident that occurred in the early hours of the day. According to a report by The Nation, five students of the institution were involved in the accident that occurred along Aroje road, opposite Bovas Petroleum station, Ogbomoso. Those who were involved included two of the students simply identified as Seun also known as Young Prof in 400 level and Dr. Sleem, 400 level. The duo died on the spot. Sympathisers including students and security agents thronged the scene with deep sorrow, as some wept profusely over the unfortunate loss of human lives. Dr Abdul’Aziz Manga, the Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Hospitals Management Board, said that the state was experiencing shortage of doctors and other medical staff. Manga said this on Tuesday in Bauchi. He further disclosed that the board had only 67 doctors out of the over 6,000 workforce of the board, adding that the number was currently managing 27 General Hospitals and other health facilities.
