Veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has recounted his experience in the hands of the operatives of the Department of State Services DSS. Agu was arrested last Tuesday, October 7 in Onitsha by men of the Nigerian Army who accused him of propagating the Biafran agenda. DSS speaks on court judgment ordering payment of N20bn to Igboho

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to court a judgement issued on Friday September 17, asking it to pay N20 billion to Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho. Justice Ladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court gave the order in a suit filed by Igboho, through his lawyer, Yomi Aliu, SAN over the invasion of his home by the secret police at about 1:30am on July 1, 2021. Spokesman of DSS, Peter Afunanya who reacted to the judgement told Daily Trust they are yet to be notified about it by the court. He said;  “The court possibly has not informed us. An Oyo state High Court has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to pay N20 billion to Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho. The payment is for damages done to his Soka home in Ibadan during the July 1 invasion by the DSS. The Department of State Services (DSS) has declared Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, wanted.
