Supreme Court dismisses PDP’s appeal, upholds Senator Abiru’s victory

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi's appeal for disqualification of Senator Adetokunbo Abiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from continuing to represent Lagos East Senatorial District, has been struck out by the Supreme Court. A Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday ordered that processes in the case filed by Lagos lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, challenging the continued stay of Ibrahim Magu in office as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) be served on the defendants.
