Arteta reveals his ‘lowest’ point of this season

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said he was at his “lowest” point this season following a 5-0 defeat at Manchester City last month. The heavy loss at the Etihad left the Gunners bottom of the Premier League. Arteta saw Arsenal lose their first three league matches, before Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Norwich City lifted them to 16th. The Spaniard has now revealed how his friends and family helped him cope. He said: “You are upset with yourself, you are angry, you are tired. “You just want to hit yourself because you’re not doing things right and you’re not getting the outcome you think you deserve. After the loss against City probably I was at the lowest. “You start to try to analyse things, you hear different opinions … And then starts the importance of having the f...

How I Slipped Into Depression, Attempted Suicide Twice — 21-Year-Old Corps Member Tells His Story

In this interview, Michael Osaretin, a 21-year-old serving corps member, tells GODFREY GEORGE the story of his victory after a long battle with depression What was growing up for you like? I would say growing up was boring and hard. I have to be honest with you. I come from a very humble background and I say this not to attract some pity, but in retrospect, as I think about how all of these things started. Things were not too good for me growing up. My mother was a trader and my father worked with the state civil service. Because of how growing up was, boys my age did make mockery of me as I could not afford the very basic things most boys had. This gave me a really negative mindset and outlook about life. Apart from poverty, I was born with macrocephaly, a condition where a child is...

If the way they are going after Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho is applied to bandits, things would have been better for us in Kaduna”- Shehu Sani

A former senator representing Kaduna central, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that the Federal government is more interested in arresting secessionists instead of putting all the energy it has in going after bandits and kidnappers terrorizing Nigeria. In an interview with Arise TV this morning, Sani said if the way ''they'' are going after Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho is applied to bandits, things would have been better for residents of Kaduna and in the North. “I can say in comparative terms that there’s more interest for the government in going after secessionists than going after bandits. I’m not a supporter of secessionists and I believe that secession agitation are virtually wrong and we should work towards a united Nigeria. But I believe that if the same effort, the way they...

Women who have More Sex have Lower Risk of Early Menopause – Scientists

A study  conducted on almost 3,000 women in the United States, has revealed that women who have sexual activity weekly or more frequently - including intercourse, oral sex, sexual touching or self-stimulation are 28% less likely to experience menopause at any given age than women who said they had sex less than once a month. Megan Arnot, a PhD candidate at University College London (UCL) who co-led the research said it is pointing to a form of biological energy trade-off. She also inferred that the findings backed the idea of human menopause originally evolving to reduce reproductive conflict between generations of females and to allow older women increase their fitness through investing in their grandchildren. Though Arnot admitted that women are more susceptible to disease duri...

Alexis Sanchez Needs a Goal to Regain Confidence – Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that Alexis Sanchez only need to score a goal for him to regain his form and succeed at Manchester United. Since getting signed to United, the forward has been a shadow of his old self at Arsenal and has only managed to score twice in 19 appearances. However, Solskjaer believes Alexis Sanchez can regain form if he can just get a goal. “I think he is also very good player. He is very talented but of course there is only so many things you can sit down and talk about and tweak,” Solskjaer said. “You saw against Fulham, when he gets his chance, he is so sharp in and around the ball with the way he wins it and with his ene...
