Biafra Agitators are now in Control of South-East — Ohaneze Ndigbo

Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said the Southeastern region is now under the control of IPOB due to neglect by the Nigerian government. In a statement on Sunday, June 6, by its Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the group said the region is at risk of being annexed out of the country unless the government 'alleviates the maltreatment of the southeast.' Isiguzoro said that the 100 per cent compliance of the sit-at-home order shows that the Ohanaeze cannot preach the message of 'One Nigeria' to the Igbos. Ohaeneze also called on the FG to change policies that will attract international sanctions against Nigeria. Covid-19: Makinde orders civil, public servants to stay off work

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Wednesday, directed civil and public servants in the employment of the state, local governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) to stay off work for two weeks. The decision, DAILY POST learnt was taken as part of measures put in place by the State government to contain the spread of Coronavirus, also known as Covid-19.
