98-Year-Old Woman Recovers From Coronavirus In Lagos

A 98-year-old woman was reportedly discharged in Lagos today May 13, after recovering from Coronavirus. A doctor who shared the story on Twitter, said the elderly patient was discharged from Eti-Osa Isolation Center. @drbellanifemi tweeted; The Joy at our Eti-Osa Isolation Center today is indescribable. We just discharged our oldest patient, a 98 year old woman. So glad she’s going home hale and hearty. Can’t post pictures and videos because we were not given consent. LCC Announces Upward Review Of Toll Fees At Lekki Toll Gate, Ikoyi Link Bridge

The Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) has announced an upward review of toll fees at Lekki toll gate and Ikoyi link bridge, which it said takes effect from February 1, 2018. The LCC said the toll fare increase is as a result of current economic and business realities that have adversely increased the cost of operations and maintenance of the company’s loan obligations. APC Wins As Only 3.4% Voters Turn Out For Lagos Bye-Election

Less than four per cent of registered voters turned out for a bye-election in Lagos State on Saturday. At the end of the election, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Noheem Adams, defeated eight opponents to emerge winner of the Eti-Osa Constituency I bye-election in Lagos State. The Returning Officer for the election, Oyeyemi Oyedola, made the declaration at the votes collation centre, Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Eti-Osa Local Government Area. Bye-Election: Lagos Official Blames Voter Apathy On Free Movement

The Lagos State Acting Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Anofiu Elegushi, has attributed the low turnout of voters in the Eti-Osa bye-election to lack of movement restriction. Elegushi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Lagos State Government did not impose movement restriction since the election had to do with only a local government area. The acting commissioner spoke with NAN after casting his vote at Polling Unit 008, Ward 4, Lekki/Ikate. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it would on Thursday release the timetable for Ekiti and Osun gubernatorial elections coming up in 2018.
