Twenty-six-year-old Benjamin had prepared himself and spent five days fasting and praying to secure a student visa at the United States’ embassy. His widowed mother had spent her savings to pay all the fees leading to the stage and her hopes were hinged on Benjamin scaling through the crucial interview. Like other students seeking admission to schools in the US, Benjamin’s mother had, according to him, paid about $100 (N36,000) for application fee to the foreign school, $300 (N108,000) for evaluation fee, and $91 (N32,000) for the courier service to bring the admission documents to Nigeria. Teenage Girl Loses Her Baby And Will Not Be Able To Walk Again After Breast Tattoo Gets Infected

A pregnant teenager has lost her baby and has been left in a wheelchair for the rest of her life after the tattoo on her right breast got infected.   Luisa Fernanda, 16, fell ill after the tattoo became infected.  She was pregnant at the time and doctors told the mum-to-be that she would never walk again after the infection spread into her spinal cord.   She underwent surgery to drain off some of the liquid caused by the infection but then developed problems with her appendix.
