How Dr Obafemi, who treated Yusuf Buhari, committed suicide

A Nigerian doctor identified as Dr Obafemi, who was the first medical personnel who attended to President Buhari son, Yusuf Buhari after his accident, reportedly committed suicide. Yusuf, who got married to Zahra, daughter of Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi in Kano state last week suffered an injury to the head in a power bike in Abuja on December 26, 2017. Yusuf was admitted to Cedacrest Hospital in Abuja, following the bike crash in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja.   A 48-year old man has been arrested and paraded for allegedly defiling his 3 daughters in Anambra state. Oil Vandals Escape From NSCDC Custody in Kogi

Some suspected oil vandals who were arrested for pipeline vandalism, have reportedly escaped from the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps( NSCDC) in Kogi state. The suspects identified as Hassan Sani, Auwal Mohamed, Mohamed Mustapha , Mudashiru Abubakar and Ibrahim Rabiu were arrested by the anti-vandals unit of the corps on Thursday March 11, while ferrying products siphoned from the Niger Delta region to the north. The British Government has said it trained and equipped operatives of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force between 2016 and March 2020. UK Minister for Africa, James Duddridge, made this known in a letter to a member of the British Parliament, Kate Osamor. The lawmaker had earlier written the UK government over financial and training supports extended to ex-SARS officers. A Frenchman has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for seeking to recruit dozens of youths to fight as jihadists in Syria and for leading a brigade of French-speaking Islamists in the war-torn country. The five aid workers abducted on December 22 by gunmen believed to be Boko Haram terrorists after their vehicle was ambushed along Monguno and Damaturu, have reportedly been released. Nigeria’s oldest prisoner, Pa Celestine Egbohuche, has regained his freedom after 19 years of being in the Enugu Maximum Prison. Pa Egbunuche was sent to jail after a court found him and his son, Paul, guilty of plotting murder and condemned him to death.  Just before leaving office, former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, granted him state pardon.
