Roy Keane blasts Harry Kane as England fails to beat Hungary at Wembley

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has slammed England captain, Harry Kane, for his poor display during his side’s 1-1 draw with Hungary in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday. Keane said that Kane was unable to get up to the speed of the match. Kane barely had a clear cut chance during the encounter as England failed to beat Hungary at Wembley Stadium. “There is no middle ground with Kane,” Keane told ITV. “When he’s on fire he is fantastic and when he is off – and we have seen many times before. “It’s like he is on his heels and he can’t get up to speed with the game. “Whatever is going on at club level he does need to do a bit more when he’s not at his best in terms of general play.” England’s next World Cup qualifier is against Albania on November 12....

What “painful” Chelsea experience did to me – Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku has said his “painful” first stint at Chelsea turned him into “the complete package”. The 28-year-old Belgian returned to Stamford Bridge this summer, 10 years after he was first snapped up by the Premier League side as a highly-rated teenager. Lukaku failed to make an impact and was loaned to West Brom and Everon. But the Belgium striker is back at the club as one of the most fearsome goalscorers in European football. “It was painful and helpful. But it gave me the mentality and the mindset that I needed to become the player I am today. “The team was very good but nobody saw the extra work they did after training sessions. As an 18-year-old, I saw every day how much the players worked on their craft. “I told myself ‘when I’m not playing, this is what I’m ...

Newly-promoted Brentford broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, with Canos’ driven effort and Christian Norgaard’s towering header from a long throw-in doubled the hosts advantage in the second half. Many will inevitably argue that goalkeeper Leno could have done more to prevent the strike but Neville instead blamed Chambers for his lacklustre defending. “We know Brentford sustain attacks, they press high up the pitch.
