See Omokri's tweet: “Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem. He is symptom of the problem. The nepotism of Buhari and his clique/cabal, is the problem. Until you address that problem, you will arrest one Nnamdi Kanu, and 10 may arise in his place. Deal with the problem. Treat Nigerians equally.”   “The only thing I fault Nnamdi Kanu on is his call on his members to kill policemen and soldiers. Other than that, he is a freedom fighter. Yes, he...

Tope Alabi Under Fire for publicly criticising the Song of a Fellow Gospel Artist

Tope Alabi is receiving heat online for criticising the song of another gospel singer. The popular gospel singer, while ministering at a vigil in the early hours of June 12, criticized a term a fellow gospel singer, Adeyinka Alaseyori, used in hailing God. Adeyinka referred to God as "Oniduro" in one of her songs but Tope found fault with this and publicly criticized the song and the singer, saying that the Holy Spirit did not approve of the term "Oniduro" being used to describe God. She explained that when she tried singing the song, the Holy Spirit cautioned her. Viewers felt Tope Alabi could have called the singer privately or could have handled the situation better and they called her out for it. Some accused her of envy, others claimed that she doesn't want to see a...

UCL final: Thiago Silva gives Credit to Lampard after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Man City

Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva, has credited the club’s former manager, Frank Lampard, for being part of the Blues’ journey to winning the Champions League this season. Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League final on Saturday night in Porto, thanks to Kai Havertz’s first-half goal. The Stamford Bridge club would not have made it to the Champions League final without Lampard having first guided them out of the group stage. Recall that Lampard was sacked in January and was replaced by Thomas Tuchel. Speaking after the match, Silva, who limped out of the final in the first half, hailed Lampard, who signed him from PSG last summer. “Without Lampard, I would not be here,” the Brazilian defender told RMC Sport. “I am very happy, and I hope he will b...

Tuchel Names Chelsea Player Responsible for 1-0 Defeat to Arsenal

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, was left unimpressed with Jorginho’s wayward back pass that led to Arsenal’s winning goal on Wednesday night. The midfielder’s pass ran past goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, creeping into the open net. While Kepa kept the ball out, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang squared to Emile Smith Rowe for a simple tap-in. Tuchel was left angry with the “total gift” handed to the Gunners. “It’s totally our fault, nobody elses. I think we lost the game. It’s totally our responsibility. We had huge changes, we made an own goal more or less. A total gift. “But overall we were not sharp enough. We could not put the same energy in as usual,” the German told a press conference after the game. When asked whether Jorginho should have passed it wide of the...

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene last season, where he netted 10 goals in all competitions for the Gunners. But he picked up a serious knee injury in June, which ruled him out of action until December. Since returning to action he is yet to complete 90 minutes and has largely had to settle for cameo appearances off the bench. Ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League last-16 second leg against Olympiacos, Arteta was asked if Martinelli was to blame for his lack of minutes. But he replied: “No if anything it’s my fault. The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was almost pelted with missiles at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, the venue of the event at Abeokuta. As expected, immediately after the event, the national leadership of the All Progressive Congress blamed the whole show of shame on the amiable governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun. I don’t think she should capitalize on women being the cause of domestic violence because it is not true.
