Afrobeats musician Femi Kuti pulled off an electrifying show with his band ‘The Positive Force’ at the Central Park, New York on Sunday. Femi, the son of late music legend Fela Kuti, performed the sixth concert in his ‘One People, One World’ global tour at the park which sparked raving reviews from guests. Chief Tolorunleke Obagbayi, a community leader in Kabba said on Thursday that the new yam festival is a festival used to appease the gods of the land to bring prosperity to the people. A bloody clash has broken out about between Muslims faithfuls and Egungun worshipers in Oyo leaving many people injured. Former first Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dame Patience Ebele Jonathan was spotted in an elated mood at an event to celebrate the DOKUBE PERI-TI, (Festival) in George Town, Okrika LGA, Rivers state today. This is the first time she's been seen in public since after her house in Abuja was raided by security operatives. It was gathered that, apart from the private security guards, no other person was within the Maitama premises when the policemen arrived. More than 20 policemen, who came in three Hilux vans and a Toyota Hiace Bus, were said to have forced themselves into the building.
