A female middle school student opened fire on classmates at an Idaho middle school on Thursday, injuring a custodian and two other students before being disarmed by a teacher and taken into custody. Amotekun Officer Shot Dead in Oyo

A personnel of the Oyo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun, Suleiman Quadri, has been killed by gunmen. According to reports, Quadri was said to have been ambushed by bandits numbering about 11 while escorting the staff of a farm to the farmland in Fiditi on Tuesday night, April 20. The gunmen opened fire on the security operative and his colleague Amoo Yisau. While Yisau sustained gunshot injuries and is being treated at the General Hospital, Owode Oyo, Quadri lost his life. He said the farmland located along Airport road was first invaded by the herdsmen in July 2020 and again on 10th February 2021. No fewer than nine shops were burnt down on Tuesday morning, Feb 9, at the popular Bode-Saadun Market in Moro council area of Kwara State. The fire which started around 1.45am on Tuesday destroyed other valuables and property, it was gathered. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed. 70 Shops Burnt In Alade Market Fire In Lagos

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has salvaged 101 shops while 70 others were severely damaged in a fire outbreak involving 171 lock-up shops at Alade Market, Market Street, Somolu, Lagos. The agency responded to the incident at 0105hrs this morning according to the State emergency response plan. The joint team (agency + @LAG_FireService) was waylaid on arrival by a group of miscreants brandishing weapons and was forced to seek extra police cover from the Isheri Police Station. The operation commenced with the police protection until the group of assailants grew larger and caused significant damage to vehicles and threats to life of our personnel. The team was forced to suspend the Recovery operation for safety reasons. It is of note that this attack is part of a very worrisome trend of first responders being attacked in the course of their duties.
