IPOB sit-at-home: Imo govt seals banks for allegedly complying with order

All banks’ branches around Bank Road, Owerri capital of Imo State on Tuesday were shut down by the Government of Imo State, through one of its agencies, the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) over alleged failure to open on Monday, a day slated in the South East for sit-at-home in protest of Nnamdi Kanu’s detention. Some of the banks affected were Polaris Bank, Access Bank PLC, Skye Bank, Union Bank, First Bank, Heritage (Enterprise) Bank, Keystone Bank, and EcoBank. First Bank of Nig. Ltd. says its Automated Teller Machines ( ATMs ) dispensed over N2.8 trillion from January 2017 to December 2017. After wasting about 2hrs, i have to go to First Bank Yaba. These days, Bank staffs load less than 200k in the Atm. After loading, 5 customers will withdraw and the next thing is "Temporarily unable to Dispense". The Temporary unable to dispense can be so frustrating when you've stayed on the queue for over 2hrs and it's about to get to your turn.
